Education Plan Terms
These Education Plan Terms are supplementary terms that apply to the application for and use of the free plans that Unvus Co., Ltd. ("Company") provides to educational institutions and students (the "Education Plan"). They apply in addition to the NeoSQL Terms of Service, and where they conflict with the general Terms of Service with respect to the Education Plan, these Education Plan Terms prevail.
Effective Date: April 1, 2026
Article 1 (Purpose and Scope)
- These Terms set out the eligibility, conditions of use, restrictions, and grounds for revocation or termination of the Education Plan that the Company provides free of charge to support education and learning.
- Matters not addressed in these Terms are governed by the NeoSQL Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Article 2 (Eligible Users)
- The Education Plan may be applied for and used only by users the Company recognizes for educational purposes, such as accredited educational institutions (schools, academies, etc.) and their staff, and students enrolled at such institutions.
- You must provide accurate affiliation and personal information when applying. Applications by ineligible persons or using another person's name or information are prohibited.
Article 3 (Verification and Approval)
- Applicants must submit the supporting documents requested by the Company, such as an enrollment certificate, employment certificate, business registration certificate, or tax registration certificate.
- The Company reviews the submitted documents and decides whether to approve the application, and may request additional documents where necessary to verify eligibility. The Company may refuse approval where the submitted documents are inaccurate or eligibility cannot be verified.
- The Company may also request supporting documents during the term to confirm continued eligibility, and you must submit accurate and truthful documents. If you do not comply with such a request without good reason, the Company may restrict or terminate your use of the Education Plan.
- A minor applicant must obtain the consent of a parent or legal guardian before submitting the required personal data.
Article 4 (Restriction on Purpose)
- The Education Plan may be used only for educational purposes such as learning, teaching, instruction, research, and practice.
- The Education Plan may not be used for commercial or for-profit purposes that generate revenue, whether directly or indirectly.
- The following activities are prohibited:
- Developing or operating for-profit or commercial projects or commercial services
- Performing outsourced or contract work
- Paid classes open to the general public or comparable activities
- Any other use intended to generate revenue, directly or indirectly
Article 5 (Watermark and Feature Limitations)
- Outputs generated or exported under the Education Plan, such as ERDs, display an educational watermark designated by the Company, and you may not remove, obscure, alter, or circumvent it.
- Certain features, such as offline license keys, may be restricted under the Education Plan; the specific scope provided is as shown on the service screen or in a separate notice.
Article 6 (Term and Renewal)
- The Education Plan is valid for one year from the date of approval.
- If you remain eligible, you may apply to renew before expiration in accordance with the procedure designated by the Company, and the verification and approval process may apply again upon renewal.
- If the term expires and is not renewed, your account may be converted to the free (Free) tier or a comparable service tier in accordance with the Company's policy.
Article 7 (Loss of Eligibility and Measures Against Misuse)
- You may use the Education Plan only while you remain eligible for it.
- If your eligibility cannot be verified or is lost, the Company may restrict or terminate your use of the Education Plan.
- The Company may decline to approve an application, revoke approval, and restrict or terminate use in any of the following cases:
- Submitting false or forged documents
- Using the plan for non-educational or commercial/for-profit purposes
- Sharing or transferring the account to another person
- Removing, obscuring, altering, or circumventing the watermark
- Eligibility cannot be verified or has been lost
- Violating these Terms or applicable law
- Except in urgent cases, the Company will notify you of the reason before taking measures under paragraph 3; where urgent action is required, it may notify you afterward.
- Where approval for the Education Plan was obtained by false or fraudulent means, the Company may restrict future Education Plan applications.
- You may object to a refusal of approval, revocation of approval, or restriction of use through the procedure designated by the Company.
Article 8 (Free Provision and Disclaimer)
- The Education Plan is provided free of charge.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company does not guarantee the continued provision of the Education Plan, the maintenance of any particular feature, or the availability of the service.
- The Company may change the conditions of provision or discontinue the Education Plan where necessary for operational, technical, or policy reasons. However, where this materially affects users, the Company will give advance notice on the service screen or by another appropriate method.
Article 9 (Personal Data)
- Personal data such as the supporting documents submitted during application and review is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
- Matters concerning the collection, use, retention, and destruction of personal data are governed by the Privacy Policy.
